Good afternoon,

A few updates and info items today.

Thank you to all who attended the Christmas in the Thunderdome last Week, it was very fun night full of Christmas cheer. Thank you very much to our wonderful and crafty volunteers and to our staff that made the evening run.

Bus talks – this afternoon we brought each bus group down to the library to review their seating plan and bus behaviour expectations. Please follow up at home to review these as well. All of the items we focused on were about promoting safety and providing a reasonable environment for one another and the bus driver.  The students were reminded to #1. Stay seated; #2. Keep the noise to a reasonable level and #3. To keep their hands and feet to themselves.

Grade 8 Charity Initiatives – Our Grade 8s are working with the Salvation Army to take care of folks that need some help this Christmas. They are running a Bake Sale on Friday morning until lunch; all products will cost between 50 cents and $2. They are also selling Hot Chocolate; orders are being taken this week and deliveries will come on Thursday; the cost is $1 and with marshmallows is $1.25.  Finally they are running a Teen Hygiene Products Drive; they would appreciate donations of  toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, lip balm, socks, razors, menstrual products, shampoo/conditioner and soap

Blacklight Dance  – Our dancers have been working very hard this fall to prepare for their big show day this Thursday. There will be shows for classes during the day and a show for parents and community members at 5pm – everyone is welcome.

Have a great evening,

Paul
