Nutrition for Learning Toonies for Tummies

St. John school has a student nutrition program that is run by volunteers and support financially through Nutrition for Learning thanks to the generous donations of individuals, groups and community partners.

Since these snack bins are available to all students in the school every day, we are asking families to donate $2 (a toonie) to support this program. Just attach a toonie to the card we are sending home with the youngest or only child in the family and return it to the school office. If you don’t have a toonie, donate whatever amount you can.

You can also donate online:

your toonies = full tummies

Principal/Vice-Principal changes for September 2018

Dear “Thunder” families,

It is with a mix of emotion that I let you know that my time in the St. John Catholic school community will come to an end at the closure of this school year. I have thoroughly enjoyed my 4 years of leadership at St. John and I leave with many memories and friendships. The next stop along my leadership journey is Holy Rosary Catholic school in Waterloo.

Please join me in welcoming Paul Gladding, a friend and colleague, as the new Principal of St. John. Paul is a person of faith who brings a wealth of experience, a kind heart and a love of children to St. John. You will be in good hands!

Sherry MacDonald will remain at St. John as the Vice-Principal.
